Politicians have been notorious for extramarital affairs.  Nothing new there.  However, the recent admission by Gov. Mark Sanford about his affair and very public “disappearance” when his staffers didn’t know his whereabouts has taken this issue to a new level.

Should politicians be expected to demonstrate certain moral/ethical values?  Are they any different from those they are elected to serve, just because they are in the public eye?
